If There’s A Way To Win, He Will Find It
- Michael K.
I first met Al Giordano back in 1996 when he helped me obtain a favorable decision from the VA for my initial service-connected disability. This decision opened-up many doors for me to succeed to include, Vocational Rehabilitation & Education benefits, and VA healthcare. I really don’t know where I would be right now without ever knowing him.
Al also offered me a career opportunity consisting of helping other disabled Veterans to navigate the complex VA adjudication process. I accepted the position, and it changed my life. He has mentored me along the way. Twenty-six years later and we maintain regular contact as we both continue to serve other veterans in order to help them obtain justice.
The difference between Al and any other representative is Al is a U.S. Marine who enjoys fighting on behalf of other veterans against the Department of Veterans Affairs for the benefits that the Veteran or their dependents deserve as if it were his own case. He reviews claims folders from start to finish searching for VA errors along the way. He is quick and through, direct and to the point. He has an extensive medical background and legal expertise in Veterans law. He is a proactive advocate, meaning that he doesn’t sit back and wait for the VA to respond. He keeps the pressure on the Administration to fulfil their duties and obligations to those who have borne the battle, their widow and orphan. He is known for telling VA Regional office staff “if you don’t want to do your job, then you should stop collecting the paycheck.”
Most representatives will only look at the issue that was raised and denied. Al hunts for the claims that were never made, addressed, or left unresolved. He identifies errors and helps to acquire additional or missing evidence to support the claim. He will also help to procure a professional medical opinion, if needed. It’s not unusual for him to obtain retroactive benefits going all the way back to the date of discharge. If there’s a way to win, he will find it.
